Vocal Music Scholars Education Program
Program Highlights

Open to rising freshmen, sophomores, juniors, and seniors (Fall of 2025)

Open to singers in all sections

Highly Selective:

up to 3 singers per section

Opportunity to perform with adult singers

Opportunity to perform with a full orchestra at every concert

All performances in Montgomery County

2 Concerts a year

All singers receive a stipend at the end of the concert season

Attend weekly rehearsals on Tuesday evenings from 7:00-9:00 pm at Calvary United Methodist Church, Ambler PA.

Scholars are allowed to miss one rehearsal a month with the exception of concert week

Audition Requirements
Vocalization: Vocalize to hear both upper and lower range.
Repertoire: Perform one piece of your choosing. Can be an Aria, Art Song, Folk Song, movement from an Oratorio, or a Ballad from the musical theater repertoire. No pop songs or music theater pieces that require belting. No more than 5 mins.
Sight-Reading and ear training: You will be asked to sight-read a piece, up to 10 measures and an ear training exercise.

Application Deadline: June 6th
Once your application is accepted, you will receive an email to schedule your audition time.
Auditions will be held virtually and will be scheduled with the applicants.
If accepted into the program, singers will be REQUIRED to attend all rehearsals, dress rehearsals, and concerts.
